WORLD BLOCKCHAIN AND CRYPTOCURRENCY SUMMIT will be held on the 19th and 20th of May with the participation of 3000+ enthusiasts and investors from 100+ countries, and more than 300 speakers, according to the organizing committee. The 300+ speakers who have been invited include well known diplomats such as German Klimenko the Russian Presidential Adviser on Internet Development and Joseph Muscat the Prime Minister of Malta. Cryptocurrency developers and founders including Brad Garlinghouse the CEO of RIPPLE will also be addressing the summit as reported in the website.
Malta has become popular among companies associated with cryptocurrency and increasingly such companies are moving there due to many reasons. Recently Binance made headlines all over the world as they moved to Malta as the Prime Minister Joseph Muscat Tweeted “Welcome to #Malta 🇲🇹 @binance. We aim to be the global trailblazers in the regulation of blockchain-based businesses and the jurisdiction of quality and choice for world class fintech companies –JM.”

Owing to his open arms policy regarding cryptocurrency there’s no wonder Joseph Muscat would be a popular speaker who is able to influence the crowd. Although not yet confirmed his participation will undoubtedly raise the spirits of the investors.
Another noteworthy speaker would be Mohammad Shaheed Khan the Vice Chairman – Islamic Banking Committee, Bahrain Association of Bankers. Khan’s participation as a speaker hints at Islamic banking sector finding interest in cryptocurrency despite some Arab countries having declared it “unholy.” If the Arab world is to recognize cryptocurrency the value of the crypto market would increase by leaps and bounds.
Meanwhile there could be others who are attracted to blockchain technology due to reasons other than mining cryptocurrency. Masaaki Isozu CEO Sony Global Education is expected to participate as a speaker. In August 2017 Sony revealed that “Sony Corporation and Sony Global Education (SGE) have developed a system that will apply block chain technology to the field of education. By using ‘technology that makes mutual use of educational achievements and activity records in an open and safe way’.” In the same news release they mention that “Sony Group is also considering innovative ways to make use of blockchain technology. It will continue evaluating this system going forward as it works towards the creation of appealing products and services in a host of different fields.”
With the troubles the crypto market has been facing lately, we are sure that the investors are eagerly waiting to see the outcome of the summit.
