Blockchain has been uniting people all over the world irrespective of their geopolitical differences. The latest news is that three ex-googlers have started the xGoogler Blockchain Alliance which aims to develop the technology through collaboration. “GBA was formed to bring together ex-Googlers & Googlers who are interested in getting involved in blockchain industry. GBA community aims to help each other advance our ambitions in blockchain spaces,” according to the official website.

One of the founders of the alliance is Hitters Xu (Founder of Nebulas and AntShares) who has invited everyone to “get united for Blockchain” in his latest tweet (as of the time of writing this article).

The alliance’s founder Xu was a member of Google’s Search & Anti-Fraud team, and he was the former Director of Ant Financial’s Blockchain Platform which is Alibaba’s financial arm. He has also founded the very first Blockchain/Bitcoin community in China, BitsClub.

Andy Tian, a Master’s degree holder from the MIT, was the Strategic Partnership Development Manager at Google. He is the Founder/ CEO of Gifto – a decentralized universal gifting protocol. He is also the CEO of the Asia Innovations Group.

Daniel Wang, one of the co-founders, was a former Tech Lead at Google. He founded Loopring, and he is a co-founder & VP of Yunrang Technology, and the Senior Director & Blockchain Researcher of Zhongan Technology.

With hands on experience in various technologies using the best infrastructure, any ex Googler comes with a wealth of knowledge that can take the field of Blockchain beyond horizons through collective action. As the alliance “consists of blockchain project founders, early team members, investors and mentors,” according to the official website, we can expect a unified front that knows how the internet works and how that knowledge could be used to develop the blockchain technology and related areas.

With some mainstream technology companies and social media declaring war against cryptocurrencies what we can see here is equally powerful pro-blockchain forces on the rise, and that could bring the balance of power.
